Part D Prescription Drug Program

The APA in collaboration with several other mental health groups, established a Web site [www.MentalHealthPartD.org] dedicated to delivering the latest information on Part D issues.

The APA’s Office of Healthcare Systems and Financing (OHSF) has designated an e-mail address, PartD@psych.org, and expanded the Managed Care HelpLine, (800) 343-4671, for use in reporting problems with the program, or for asking questions.

OHSF is particularly interested in learning how the exceptions and appeals process for access to drugs is working at the reconsideration level with the independent review entity, when the prescription drug plan (PDP) continues to deny access through its coverage determination and re-determination processes.
