The mission of APA’s Department of Quality Improvement and Psychiatric Services (QIPS) is to facilitate the optimal provision of quality psychiatric care.
Activities:
Developing evidence-based practice guidelines
Advancing perspectives and needs of psychiatrists in the area of health information technology and electronic health records
Advancing perspectives and needs of psychiatrists in the area of performance measurement
Identifying, advancing, and disseminating quality standards, measures, and interventions for systems of care
Addressing research, education, clinical practice, and public policy related to addiction psychiatry
