Automatic Advancement for MIT to GM Status

Attention APA Members-in-Training:  Enjoy General Member privileges and benefits at no additional cost for the remainder of the year!

When you advance to General Member status, you become an Early Career Psychiatrist (ECP) of the APA.  ECP’s are General Members of the APA who are within their first seven years after training (residency/fellowship). Please visit the APA Early Career Psychiatrist webpage for information that will help you navigate the APA as an ECP and also provide information about career development.

To advance your membership, simply submit a copy of your current, valid, medical license and a copy of your certificate verifying 3 years of general psychiatry training to membership@psych.org or fax to (703) 907-1085.  In lieu of a certificate, a letter from your program training director confirming the beginning and ending dates of training will suffice.
