Practical Suggestions for Improving Your Results Using Buprenorphine

George Kolodner, M.D., DLFAPA

As the use of buprenorphine has increased, a variety of new problems have confronted prescribing physicians. In this webinar, Dr. George Kolodner will describe approaches to address some of the more common problems.

The focus will be on a practical, “nuts and bolts” level and will include issues such as convincing patients to stay on buprenorphine beyond detoxification, dealing with resistances to its use by Narcotics Anonymous and residential rehabilitation programs, protocols for tapering buprenorphine after extended use, and dealing with the use of tobacco.

Dr. Kolodner's presentation slides can be accessed here.
